Three-Day Crew and Day Volunteers are the backbone of the Tri-State Trek. From the set-up of daily rest stops and nightly lodging to securing the arrival of gear and supplies - the efforts of our volunteers help to ensure our event runs seamlessly.

Volunteer
Three Day Crew

Three-Day Crew accompany Trek riders all 270 miles. Running rest stops, setting up and breaking down overnight locations, or driving route support vehicles, crew assist in a variety of ways and make for a smooth weekend.

All food and lodging is provided. Crew can either bring their own vehicle, or carpool with another crew member that they have made arrangements with. Crew planning to bring their personal vehicle on the event should select this option at time of registration.

Positions are limited and are first filled by Crew Captains, by request, on a first-come-first served basis. Select your desired position during registration. Although it is not required to fundraise for these positions, all Crew members will receive online fundraising pages when they register for them to promote their participation and fundraise within their networks.

Skilled and experienced bike technicians to keep all bikes rolling

Camp Crew
Camp Crew

Organize the setup and breakdown of our overnight venues

Lunch Crew
Lunch Crew

Fully prepare and manage lunch stops on Friday and Saturday

Medical Crew
Medical Crew

RN's, MD's or EMT's to keep our participants healthy and happy on the route, at rest stops, and at overnight venues

Ride Marshall
Ride Marshall

Crew on bicycles patrolling the route ensuring rider safety

Route Support Crew
Route Support Crew

Patrol the route in a vehicle and assist riders as needed as directed by the dispatch team

Rest Stop Crew

Fully prepare and manage one of four rest stops each day

Check in event participants starting at Boston College and at each venue through the weekend

Three Day Crew

Day Volunteers assist Tri-State Trek Staff and Three-Day Crew and are needed at our larger venues:

  • Start Line: Boston College
  • 1st Overnight: University of Connecticut
  • 2nd Overnight: University of New Haven
  • Finish Line: Roger Sherman Baldwin Park

Day Volunteers can participate for a few hours, or an entire day depending on their availability. They help with things like setup, cleanup, moving gear, preparing meals, rider check-in, etc.

A volunteer t-shirt, food, and beverages are covered, but lodging is not. Although it is not required to fundraise for these positions, all Day Volunteers will receive online fundraising pages when they register to promote their participation and fundraise within their networks.

Work the merchanise table to sell promotional items
