Valley Girls
Riding for those who no longer can
Last summer one of the 'Valley Dads' was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease).  As we navigated the new normal that is ever changing, it is becoming more and more apparent how important the work the ALS therapy development Institue (TDI) is doing is. ALS TDI does more testing and research than any other ALS research lab in the world to achieve effective treatments to prevent, slow, stop or maybe one day reverse ALS. As he (and the other valley dads) have supported past rides for other diseases and continues to still do all they can for others, in June we return to UNH dorms (almost 20 years after three of us first lived our lives out there) for the 2-day ride to support the ASL Therapy Development Institute (ASL TDI).  Our family, including the friends who have become family, appreciate any donation that you are able and willing to give. We are doing this ride for our family and others knowing that all donations can help so many out there.

Last summer my Dad was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease), a neurodegenerative disorder that paralyzes the body but leaves the mind intact.  As we navigated the new normal that is ever changing, it is becoming more and more apparent how important the work the ALS therapy development Institue (TDI) is doing is. ALS TDI does more testing and research than any other ALS research lab in the world. They work tirelessly to strive to their goal that every person diagnosed with ALS has effective treatment to prevent, slow, stop or maybe one day reverse ALS. In June we return to UNH dorms (almost 20 years after I first slept in them -yicks-) for a 2-day ride to support the ASL Therapy Development Institute (ASL TDI).  Our family, and friends who have become family, appreciate any donation that you are able and willing to give. We are doing this ride for our family and know that all donations can help other families out there.

ALS is not incurable. It's underfunded.
ALS research is near and dear to the Valley Girls' hearts. In June, we will be back in the UNH dorms for a 2-day, 60-mile ride to support the ASL Therapy Development Institute (ASL TDI).ALS TDI is the world's foremost drug discovery center focused exclusively on ALS. It is the first nonprofit biotech to invent a potential ALS treatment and bring it into clinical trial. ALS TDI has also rigorously tested over 550 drugs in animal models of ALS – more than any other ALS research lab in the world.ALS TDI will not  stop at one successful treatment. They are committed to doing this work, over and over. Our doors won't close until every person diagnosed with ALS has effective treatment options – options that will prevent, slow, stop, or reverse their ALS.Please consider donating!
