My cousin Della lived to find and spread joy. She had an ability to make a deep connection with people, she saw their goodness, and she enabled them to see it in themselves. During her struggle with ALS, she always found ways to see the positives. After dealing with a setback or a new ALS challenge, she would take back her joy by triumphantly saying, "not today, ALS!" and "take that, ALS!" As an army of people came to support her in all sorts of ways, she would say that her kids were getting to see the best in humanity. ALS TDI and the ALS community were an important part of Della's ALS Army. This will be my first year riding in the Tri-State Trek. I am raising money for ALS TDI so we can all say, "take that, ALS" for good. Please consider making a donation of any size in Della's memory.
