Last year was my first opportunity to take part in the Tri-State Trek in support of ALS TDI and their efforts to end ALS. This year I ride in honor of my father who passed away in October of 2020 from this horrible disease.
90% of ALS cases occur without a family history of the disease. Military veterans are twice as likely to develop ALS. The life expectancy of a person living with ALS is 2-5 years from diagnosis. Every 90 minutes someone new is diagnosed with ALS, and someone living with ALS passes away.
This disease is impacting the lives of more and more people every year. More and more of the brave men and women who are fighting or have fought for our freedom. We need effective treatment, we need a cure.
On June 26th I am riding 100 miles in support of the ALS Therapy Development Institute and the amazing work they are doing to end ALS. Please consider donating and/or sharing our team page to help raise awareness for ALS. Together we can put an end to this horrible disease!
