My mom was a fierce ALS warrior and advocate.

Before she was an ALS advocate, she was my advocate. She was my hero. I was not surprised when she became a hero to everyone else, as well. My mom had a special fire inside of her. She was compassionate and kind, yet exceedingly stubborn and determined, and she was intent on using this unique mix of characteristics to change the world. In my eyes, she did change the world, and her legacy will continue to affect change even now that she’s gone. I have dubbed her legacy The Becky Effect.
