This summer will be my THIRD time participating in the ALS TDI Tri-State Trek, along with Nathan Pierce, Alex Pierce and other friends. The 3-day bicycle trek, totaling 270 miles from Newton, MA to Greenwich, CT will benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute, a nonprofit biotech company based in Cambridge that is dedicated to developing an effective treatment for ALS.
My friend, Bobby Forster, has ALS and is one of the strongest people I know. He has always had a knack for steering boats, fixing pedicabs, and almost effortlessly balancing a lot of random objects on a bicycle while riding. But Bobby's strength has been tested in a completely different way since being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Bobby has begun to lose his strength...only to replace that physical strength with an incredible resolve to not allow this disease to stop him.
Please help me exceed a goal of raising $2,000 to help Bobby and the 350,000 people worldwide that are affected by ALS by donating on our ALS Fundraising Page.
